PhD Scholarship
The Mobility AI lab is always looking for PhD students. If you are interested in the PhD program at PolyU CEE, especially working with Dr. Ma at the Mobility AI Lab, please send your CV and transcripts to Dr. Ma Wei (wei.w.ma@polyu.edu.hk) at any time, and we can discuss which program works best for you.
PhD Studentship
Students with engineering, computer science, math, or economy backgrounds are preferred. Both undergraduate students and master students are welcome to apply. Detailed requirements include:
- Self-motivated, eager to learn
- Be familiar with at least one programming languages
- Have solid math, optimization, transportation, data mining, or machine learning backgrounds
- The candidate must pass the English requirements (TOEFL: 80 or IELTS: 6.5) Successful candidates will be offered with full scholarship for PhD students (around HK$18,000 per month) for 3~4 years.

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)
Top-ranked candidate will be recommended to apply the prestigious PhD fellowship offered by the Hong Kong government. The fellowship aims at attracting the best and brightest students in the world to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong. It offers an attractive package of a monthly stipend of HK$25,000 and a conference and research related travel allowance of HK$10,000 (approximately US$1,300) per year for each awardee for a period of three years.

Research Assistant/Associate/Postdoc
The Mobility AI lab is also looking for Research Assistant (for candidates with bachelor or master degrees) and Research Associate (for candidates with PhDs). English test scores are not required for RAs, but the candidate’s background should align with the research interests at the Mobility AI Lab. If you are interested, please send your CV and transcripts to Dr. Ma Wei (wei.w.ma@polyu.edu.hk). Successful candidates will be offered with the position and monthly salary. The salary depends on the performance and background of the candidates. Hong Kong government is also offering a prestigious postdoc fellowship. Top-ranked candidate will be recommended to apply.
